SAL gains ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Accreditation

30. October 2015

We are proud to announce that we have been accredited with ISO 14001 for our commitment to reducing our environmental impacts. Furthermore, we have been accredited with OHSAS 18001 for our health and safety management systems.

Commitment to Quality Management throughout the logistics flow
The new accreditations are a result of our continuous strive to raise standards of quality management in our business, working in close partnership with customers – car manufacturers, importers and dealerships – and their Quality Departments.

Managing Director Henrik Otto Jensen says: “From the beginning, SAL’s aim has been to be at the forefront of the automotive industry in Europe. Our number of accreditations serve as a testimony of our commitment to operational excellence and building effective quality management systems across all our operations.”

In addition to ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001, SAL achieved ISO 9001 Certification in 2011 and AEO Certification in 2012 and is a member of ECG (The Association of European Vehicle Logistics).

Quality Management as the foundation for growth
Since SAL was established in 1999, we have experienced a continuous growth.

“Our highly developed quality management systems has enabled us to respond quickly to market demands, continually expanding our operations to serve more customers and meet individual requirements,” Henrik Otto Jensen states.

Today, 25% of finished vehicles (passenger and commercial) that are imported to Denmark pass through SAL’s terminal in Esbjerg. Taking only commercial vehicles into account, SAL’s share exceeds 70%.

SAL provides a fully integrated logistics service, securing a smooth flow of finished vehicles – from production plants to end consumers across Europe.

”Our number of accreditations serve as a testimony of our commitment to operational excellence and building effective quality management systems across all our operations.”
